Open World Alumni From Tula Explore Media Relations Tools

| A workshop group gets down to business. | Tula, Russia. – "Techniques for Working With the Media" was the theme of a recent workshop held for Open World alumni by the arts faculty at Tula State University. The alumni-initiated workshop was put together by Open World past participant Elena Brodovskaya. Brodovskaya holds a doctorate in political science and is the dean of social and political sciences at Tula State University.
Ten alumni participated in the workshop, which focused on presentation skills, public relations, and the basics of writing press releases and newsletters. Participants also held a mock press conference, which was videotaped and analyzed by public relations experts in attendance.
The participating alumni gave Brodovskaya's five-hour training session high marks and recommended it to other local community leaders and Open World alumni.
