March 7, 2013
WASHINGTON, DC – On March 7, just in time for International Women’s Day, Open World welcomed eight delegations of young women leaders from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Serbia, and Ukraine to Washington, DC, for orientation. Former California Rep. Jane Harman (pictured, fourth from left), who now heads the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, spoke to the group about the important perspective women bring to leadership roles and congratulated the delegates on their work. Open World hosted the delegates in cities across the United States.
