In both rural and urban areas, PolandÕs robust and independent NGO sector is now maturing to the point where skills in advocacy, sustainability, management, professionalism and goal-setting are needed. This Open World program will emphasize leadership skills and responsibilities including how best to utilize volunteers. There is much to learn from the vibrant public and private initiatives that can be found in communities across the United States as efforts are made to improve the standard of living and conditions for all citizens.
