WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL) is proud to announce that U.S. Representative Ed Case of Hawai'i (HI-01) has been appointed to the COIL Board of Trustees. Representative Case has been a longstanding advocate for congressional diplomacy and the Open World Program, playing an instrumental role in expanding COIL's programming into the Indo-Pacific in 2022. Since that expansion, COIL has welcomed emerging leaders from Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Fiji, strengthening connections between U.S. lawmakers and their international counterparts. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Pacific Islands Caucus, Representative Case has consistently championed stronger U.S. engagement with the region and has personally welcomed numerous Open World delegations to Capitol Hill. COIL is grateful for Representative Case's continued support of the agency and the Open World Program and looks forward to working with him in his new role on the Board of Trustees.
